models own are probably best known for their nail polish range but i thought i'd see what else the brand has to offer and stumbled across this lip and cheek tint.
i guess the idea behind it was to create something similar to benefit's benetint at a fraction of the price, which £6 certainly is and at that price, i popped it straight in to my basket, nothing to lose, right?

totally right. it really is very similar to benetint, both colourwise and application wise. it's basically a runny deep red liquid with a little brush attached to the inside of the lid for application. although it looks a bit scary in the bottle, it comes out as a much more subtle deep pink colour which is lovely for creating that flushed cheeks look, and adding a bit of colour to your lips.
in terms of wear-time, it lasts a good eight hours on the cheeks and about six on the lips when eating and drinking which makes me see it as more or a stain than a tint, but that's nothing to complain about.
the only problem i had with it was the taste. i know that may sound odd but when you're applying it to your lips you get a real taste of it. this does settle down once the tint dries, which takes no more than thirty seconds so if you can grin and bear it, you're definitely onto a winner with this product.
again, at six pounds and a real competitor for benetint in terms of what it does, the models own lip and cheek tint is definitely something worth trying out, especially if you're considering buying a more expensive tint and want to give one a go before splashing the cash.
the tint is available from the boots website, here, and is currently part of a buy one get one half price promotion on selected models own products.
have you tried this tint? what did you think of it?
speak soon xoxo
