Normally I like to try out products for a while before posting about them but I was just so excited about Blanx White Shock toothpaste with it's little blue light that after five days of waiting not so patiently, I had to get it out there.
Ok, so generally, I don't enjoy brushing my teeth. I love the clean feeling and fresh breath element obviously, who doesn't, but I really don't like the taste of toothpaste- the mint makes me feel all queasy, so toothbrushing for me has never been up there with eating chocolate, chinese food, stroking kittens and the like, and this is why Blanx toothpaste has completely blown my mind.
Basically, the idea with this is that the toothpaste contains an ingredient called Actilux which reacts when it comes into contact with light- so this is where being a smiley person pays off; the more you smile the whiter your teeth. It would seem silly to rely soley on this English weather to provide us with nice bright lighting all year round though and this is where the pretty little blue LED light comes in.
The toothpaste itself doesn't taste super minty but still leaves your breath feeling fresh and your teeth clean. This was the first big fat tick in my box. This alone made me enjoy using this toothpaste,  but then, the fun really starts after brushing when you get to don your biggest toothy grin and shine the little blue light, which is conviniently attached to the lid of the toothpaste and is turned on when you take off the cap.
So, I brush my teeth 2-3 times a day with this and use the blue light for one minute each time afterwards and I ccan honestly say that after two goes, so less than one day, I could already see a difference in the colour of my teeth. They were definitely whiter and with each use (with the help of the blue light) they get whiter still.
I have never had white-white teeth, they've never been stained as such as I'm no coffee/tea, pepsi/coke, red wine, etc., drinker, but unfortunately I was just never blessed with super white teeth. I do use the Crest 2 Hour Express Whitening strips once every three months which lifts the colour a lot but they do leave me with really sensitive teeth for a day or so after and they are also pretty pricey. On top of that, the results don't last for any more than the designated three months and the colour starts to darker after only a couple of weeks. Although this sounds negative, I do really love the Crest strips for a quick fix, but for me, Blanx is in a totally different league with their White Shock formula and LED light. I don't get any feeling of sensitivity and I don't have to sit around for two hours waiting for the whitening process. I'm just going about my daily routine and reaping the very large benefits.
I for one will be continuing to use this toothpaste for as long as it continues to work for me, which I can only assume will be for a very, very long time and as I can't rate it enough, I really do recommend you giving it a go if you're after a cheap, quick and effective way to whiten your teeth safely.
Have you tried this toothpaste and light combination from Blanx?
