Yardley London April Violets £9.99.

LIFE LESSON #1- How to smell like a sweet shop.
My search for the perfect scent may be over. As I'm sure you all know, and if you don't where have you been?!, the smell of parma violets is one of my absolute favourites. I have been trying to hunt down a parma violet perfume for what seems like an age now and I had been using parma violet oil. It was sticky and made my hair tangley when it touched my neck but it was a small price to pay to smell like those little purple disks, however, I now no longer have to sacrifice ratty hair because after Googling 'perfumes that smell like parma violets' and buying a couple of them only to find that they didn't smell remotely like them, I finally decided to try one that cropped up only once, Yardley's April Violets.
It has top notes of geranium and citrus fruits, base notes of warm vanilla and heart notes of iris, jasmine, ylang, tuberose and last but certainly not least- parma violets!
I'll be honest, I don't get any citrus, at all but then, that's not what I wanted from this perfume. I do get almost pure parma violets, maybe a little geranium but nothing too overpowering of the parma violets.
I am a very happy girl and well many probably find the sickly sweet smell too much, I can't get enough so if you too would like to smell like a human sized parma violet, definitely check out Yardley's. They also have this on special offer at the moment for £6.99 here. Will you be giving this scent a go over the summer months- if so, a warning, butterflies do seem to be attracted to me now...
