AUTUMN WISHLIST FEATURING NEW LOOK.

I have been out of the wishlist loop for a little while now. In fact, I can't even remember the last time I posted one, but with Autumn bringing with it lots of gorgeous new berry shades to wear and also lots of summer sale pieces I decided that it was high time I changed that and brought you a wishlist from one of my favourite affordable retailers; New Look.

Beautysets - New Look Autumn Wishlist
New Look Autumn Wishlist with New Look

So, I've managed to narrow the wishlist down to four of my absolute favourite pieces; A gorgeous berry-red shade dress, a lightweight khaki parka, a grey quilted jumper and a cute little elephant jumpsuit. The reason I've chosen these four items is because I believe that they all go together and are all interchangeable with each other- obviously wearing the dress and playsuit at the same time might be a bit tricky but I'm sure that you get where I'm going with all of the other combinations.
Ok, so the burgundy heart print dress is something which screams autumn to me. I don't think you can go wrong with a lovely red dress around this time of year, especially deep reds. I'm going to attempt rocking berry lips for the first time ever this autumn so I think they would work perfectly with this dress.
I've also chosen the obligatory khaki parka. I've chosen a lightweight one for the autumn months as we still get the occasional day of sun meaning it's a perfect alternative to it's heavyweight counterparts, and also, it's great to layer up on top of dresses, jumpers, or if it's extra chilly, a dress and a jumper. This parka is also from New Look's petite range which for a little 'un like me is music to my ears.
Next up, I've chosen this lovely grey quilted jumper. I love all things quilted and this was always going to be one of my items. You can wear them on their own, over shirts, vests, dresses and under a good old body warmer. And this one looks super snuggly too.
Finally I've chosen a little jumpsuit which is actually in the summer sale but I think the colour is perfect for autumn. I can see this being worn with knee high socks, some cute little black boots and a big snuggly cardigan.
So they are my picks from New Look for the autumnal months, what do you think? And are you all prepared for Autumn in the wardrobe department?

OOTD; NOW IT'S THREE IN THE MORNING AND I'M TRY'NA CHANGE YOUR MIND.

shoes are Dr Martens and hair clip is from Accessorize sale .

I've been making the most of this extra long summer by doing a summery outfit of the day post for you and taking the pictures for it outside. I didn't anticipate it being so windy mind you, so you will have to excuse my windswept hair.
I recently got this cute little collared dress from Choies. It's so summery and the pattern makes me feel like Alice in Wonderland, with all the hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades. The only thing I would say is that it's super short and so shorts underneath are a definite must, especially with all of the wind today!
I paired the dress with my favourite denim jacket from Primark which I have worn almost every day since I bought it a couple of months back. I just find it so easy to throw on with everything and it's a great summer to autumn transitional piece too.
On my feet I have the usual frilly Dr Martens which I absolutely adore. I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but I think paired with an otherwise super girly outfit, they really work.
And that's everything! Are you girls enjoying the continuing nice weather as much as I am?

5 PRODUCTS I WILL REPURCHASE FOREVER.

Neutrogena Scrub, Chloe LOVE, Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum, Blanx White Shock, GLAMGLOW Youth Mud.

Today's post is a little different for me but I have, none the less, decided to share with you five products that I adore and will repurchase again and again.
I love reading these types of posts because I think it says a lot about a product when someone has tried it, loved it a bought it over and over again (or plans to!), so with that, I hope that you find this post interesting and helpful and I'll jump right in.

Blanx White Shock Toothpaste with Blue LED Light

I have been using Blanx White Shock Toothpaste for a few months now and have gone through my fair share of tubes so it's fair to say that it's a favourite of mine. For me, nothing works like it. I've never had white teeth, they've never been stained as such because I'm not a tea/coffee drinker and I don't eat any foods particularly notorious for their staining properties, but they've always just been naturally off white. This toothpaste has made such a difference. My teeth are now so much whiter and I couldn't be happier. I have done a full review on this a while back now (here) but for those of you who missed that, you basically use Blanx White Shock as you would your regular toothpaste and then shine the little blue LED light on your teeth for a couple of minutes afterwards. The reason this works is because the formula in the toothpaste which whitens teeth is activated by light and so as you smile throughout the day, you're actually helping to whiten your teeth and the blue light acts as a little intense booster. There's no pain with this at all, which there often is with other effective whitening treatments that I've tried, and it doesn't taste nasty either. I'm a bit weird with the tastes of toothpaste so this is a huge reason for repurchasing in itself. I really do recommend Blanx White Shock Toothpaste and will personally buy this until either a) my teeth all fall out or b) they stop making it.

 Chloe LOVE EDP.

Chloe LOVE is one of those scents that just makes you feel happy. It's so pretty and girly but grow up at the same time, all without being too heavy. I'm not the best at describing scents but it reminds me of a vintage powder in liquid form. It really is beautiful. The reason this is such a re-purchasable scent is because it's not season specific. I feel that a lot of perfumes are either targeted towards the spring/summer months or the autumn/winter ones. Florals and citrus for spring and summer and the more musky, spicy scents for the remainder of the year, where this perfume has both floral and musky notes to it. I'm really doing a poor job of describing this but the bottom line is, I love it. I will wear it all year round and as a result, I use it a lot and will continue to buy it, a lot.

 Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum is my every day foundation and has been for way over a year now. I used to use their 10 Hour Sleep Effect but when that was discontinued for a little while, I found this to be the best alternative. I have a lot of love for Bourjois foundations as a whole- I do not get on with any other brands in the base department (Revlon is the exception), they just don't work for me so a foundation that I would repurchase was always going to come from Bourjois. The reason I opted for this one as my daily base above all the other foundations from Bourjois (I've tried them all) is because it offers everything I want in a foundation. It feels light on the skin but still offers a medium coverage. It doesn't make my skin bad. The range has a shade which matches my skin perfectly (52 FYI) and it's relatively affordable. Love, love, love this.

 GLAMGLOW Youth Mud.

Ok, I'm cross at myself for loving this stuff so much because it's so pricey but nothing comes close in terms of the results you get from GLAMGLOW's Youth Mud. I'm on my third pot now and this is by far my favourite face mask. It's basically a thick mud full of little leaves. You apply it all over you face, leave it to dry, splash your face with water and rub it into your face to exfoliate, and then rinse it all off. It completely removes all dirt and impurities, leaving your face completely free of blackheads and your skin looking glowy and bright. As I said, it is pretty hefty in the price department but the effects do justify it (ish).

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub.

This is a bit of a symbolic product really. It actually represents all of the Neutrogena Visibly Clear range which is absolutely amazing. I use at least two of the products from the range every day and I just find that they keep my skin looking clear and feeling fresh. I think the products that we use every day can slip under the radar a little when it comes to giving out the credits and so I thought I'd give the Neutrogena Visibly Clear range it's moment in the sun. Also, this Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub smells amazing!

So that's it girls, my 5 products that I love, recommend and repurchase. Have you tried any of these? Which products do you repurchase?

SLEEK FACE CONTOUR KIT.

Sleek Face Contour Kit in Light £6.49.

Contouring has been huge since the rise of Kim Kardashian and her insanely perfect cheekbones, and whether you love or hate the woman, there's no denying that her bones structure is impeccable. While we're not all blessed in that department, contour kits are big business for helping us to try and fake it so today, I'm going to share with you my absolute favourite of the bunch- Sleek's Face Contour Kit.
Being as pale as Casper I use the 'Light' kit but all three kits (light, medium and dark) have a matte brown contour shade and a shimmery highlight shade. I can't speak for all of the kits but certainly in the Light kit, the brown is a fairly neutral brown with perhaps the slightest warm tone to it, just enough to prevent the contour from looking muddy but not so much that it's orangey. The highlight is a beautiful champagne-pink colour and although shimmery, is not glittery.
The powders themselves are soft and velvety and stay put for a good proportion of the day, the highlight especially.
I know the majority of people are fully aware of how to contour so I won't go into that on here, but I will tell you how I like to use this kit! I use the contour powder on my Real Techniques (surprise, surprise) Buffing Brush, applying it lightly and then blending out harsh lines. I then take my Contour Brush and apply the highlight to the tops of my cheekbones, down my nose and above my cupids bow. I know a lot of people contour down the sides of their nose but I have quite a thin nose so tend not to do this step.
As I said earlier, this kit is my absolute favourite and I use it every day that I wear make up. I have previously spoken about the Mary-Lou Manizer from TheBalm and I think that the highlighter section on Sleek's kit is just as great and also more affordable if you don't want to spend that little bit extra and one final point on Sleek's Face Contour Kit; it lasts forever. I have had this kit for goodness knows how long and you can see that I've barely made a dint in the powder.

WHAT'S NEW FROM WAREHOUSE?: CAMPAIGN AND SPECIAL LITTLE TREAT.

Today I'm going to tell you about something very new and exciting from one of my favourite clothing brands, Warehouse.

So a couple months back I actually featured Warehouse's 'Style Me If You Can' campaign competition on my blog, in which Warehouse asked for you to choose various outfits from their collection for a number of different situations such as walking the dog and going to the cinema. Warehouse then chose a few of their favourites for each eventuality and asked over on their Facebook page for fans to vote for the best outfit for each situation and now, the votes have been counted and the winning looks brought to life in Warehouse's new video campaign which also features their 90 minute delivery service in action.

So, here's the finished campaign, which by the way is amazing. It reminds me a little of an episode of Made In Chelsea, which of course makes me love the campaign even more!

The video campaign has only been released earlier today so as soon as I found out about it, I had to turn on the old computer and get posting, particularly as Warehouse are offering something very special to coincide with the release of their campaign- 90 minute delivery for 90p! Not bad at all considering their standard delivery rate is £3.99, so you too can make like the beautiful lady in the advert and change your clothes every ninety minutes if you do so desire. AMAZING!

So, that's my little exclusive-ish post for you there, which look from the campaign is your favourite?  And will you be making the most of the 90p offer?

P.S, Warehouse also still have some amazing pieces in their sale, I'm off shopping, see you there!

LOOK BEAUTY MAKE ME BLUSH IN FLIRT.

Look Beauty Make Me Blush in Flirt £8.00.

Recently I've been really enjoying wearing bright, almost neon blushes and Look Beauty's Make Me Blush in Flirt certainly ticks that box. The super bright coral shade contains just enough shimmer to pack a punch without making you look like you've got all excited with a glitter glue pen.
Flirt can be applied lightly for a more natural look or built up to almost clown-like proportions. I'm definitely more towards the circus make up end but as I mentioned, I've been really into bright cheeks lately.
I think that Flirt is a great all rounder, from it's build-ability to it's staying power and the shade itself would be so flattering on a number of skin tones, I'm sure.
Something also worth mentioning is the packaging- it's a lot different to the way any of my others are packages which makes it easy to find and although a little bulky for the old make up bag, the compact does contain a decent sized mirror and I love the way this opens and closes. I'm sure I cannot be the only one who fights trying to open little compacts- trying to get my barely there nails under the lid to prize it open. The Make Me Blush blushes are magnetized so the lid easily lifts and snaps back together on closing.
This is my first Look Beauty purchase but I know I'll definitely be popping into Superdrug to pick up my next Make Me Blush soon (and have a nosey at the other products in the range at the same time!).
Have you tried anything from Look Beauty? Which products do you recommend?

L IS FOR LADYBIRD, A YEAR ON...

On August 13th, 2013 I hit the big one year mark with my blog. That's right girls, I have now been blogging for just over a year, so I thought I'd best write up a little post to acknowledge that fact and to tell you a little bit about where I intend to take L is for Ladybird in the second year of it's life, but before we get on to all that, I want to go all mushy on you for a second and say a huge thank you to each and every single one of you who has supported me during the past year. It means an awful lot and has given me so, so many lovely opportunities, a few of which I would like to share with you.

So firstly, since starting up my blog last August, I have been fortunate enough to meet some really lovely people, whether that be strictly online or in person. I would like to give a good old fashioned shout out at this point to Jane Davis who has by far been the best experience to come out of blogging for me- oh the cheese!

Photo c/o Propbooth.

Speaking of meeting lovely people, I also attended my first blogger meet-up this year (with Jane of course!) in Manchester which was incredible. It was organised by FABB Events and having never been to a meet-up before I was super anxious, but with my blogger bestie in tow, I had an absolutely wonderful day. I hope to attend plenty more during my second year of blogging which may not be easy, living up in the sticks, but after enjoying my first event so much, I'm going to have to get my bum into gear and brave trains.

Photo c/o Propbooth.

Another thing which completely baffles me is that I've had the chance to work with a few PR companies and brands. It's completely insane. Real life companies wanting to work with little old me. Just wow. I am so, so grateful and sad as it is, have all the emails saved so that when I'm old and surrounded by 7567876 cats and almost as many fish, I can show them all of the companies that were lovely enough to contact me.

Also during my first year I have been so, so lucky to reach the big 1000 GFC milestone which is completely insane. In fact, me and my little blog aren't too far off doubling that figure now which I still can't get my head around. Never in a million years could I have dreamed that there would be so many of you reading and enjoying (I hope) my waffle. Just wow! I really do appreciate every new little face that pops up in my sidebar and every single comment that the people behind those little icons leave on my posts. Thank you so much!

These are only a few of the highlights of my first year of blogging for me, though there have been so, so many more and I am so excited to get stuck into my second year and making it match up to the first. I have a little second year plan of the things that I would like to achieve, change, and discover this blogging year so hopefully you'll stick with me and enjoy the second year as much as the first. I hope to see you all in year three.

SLEEK BLUSH IN LIFE'S A PEACH, ROSE GOLD & PIXIE PINK.

Sleek Blush in (L-R) Life's a Peach, Pixie Pink and Rose Gold, £4.49.

I have, way back when, spoken about Sleek's Rose Gold Blush on this blog before, however, I have recently 'rediscovered' it and have been using it alongside my two other favourite single blushes from Sleek; Life's a Peach and Pixie Pink, a lot of late and as a result, decided that I would share all three with you today.
I'll start with my absolute favourite of the bunch- Life's a Peach. A gorgeous nearly-neon matte peach which I have been loving wearing in combination with my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous.
I love peach in the summer, I don't think it's really a shade that you can wear as much during the autumn and winter months so I've been making the most of the lovely sunshine we've been having recently and wearing this a lot.
Pixie Pink is again a matte, almost neon shade but this time in a baby pink colour. This is perfect for pale skin and gives a lovely flush of colour which can be built up for a more intense shade.
And finally, the infamous Rose Gold. This is forever being compared to Nars Orgasm (which I don't personally own but was the reason I bought this in the first place) and is just as it says on the tin- a rose gold shade. I cannot stress how beautiful this is. It's shimmery and girly and just lifts the skin. It almost has an inbuilt highlight. This looks equally gorgeous on pale and tanned skin and I'm so glad that I dug it out of the old blush box.
As with all of Sleek's products, the quality of these Blushes is amazing. The powder feels really silky and lasts for around the eight hour mark, which is insane for a blush costing under the five pound mark. I cannot encourage you all enough to try one of Sleek's blushes if you haven't already! I'm hoping to add Flamingo, Coral and Pomegranate to my collection next.
